Frequently Asked Questions

Do we really need a video when we already have a photographer?

If you were given the opportunity to relive your parents' or grandparents' wedding day and had the choice to see either photographs or a professionally produced video in full color with stereo sound, which would you choose? With the latest advances in digital technology and advanced skills, we are able to provide you with a cinematic experience that your family and friends will enjoy for generations.

Do you use lighting?

Our cameras are designed to perform extremely well under low light conditions. However, it may be necessary to use a small, on-camera light during the reception because of the low available light in some venues. Lights are sometimes used at the ceremony.

We have been to events in the past where the Videographers were a distraction. Will you be in the way?

We will do our best to remain unobtrusive throughout the day by taking full advantage of the new smaller digital video cameras.

Do You Use Special Effects?

While technology plays a very important role in creating an outstanding video, we believe it is of secondary importance to content. We rely on artistic vision over gimmicks and use the latest in technology to capture and edit your event - only enhancing it using very subtle effects, such as; black and white, slow motion, wide screen and sepia tones. We do not use cartoons or animations to try and keep our client's attention. We rely solely on quality footage and a romantic vision to create a masterpiece our clients will enjoy for the rest of their lives.

What type of equipment do you use?

We use the latest digital 3 chip Canon video cameras.  All of your footage is masterfully edited in a state of the art computer based non-linear editing suite. What this means to you is that by keeping within the digital format throughout the entire process, there will be virtually no loss of quality and that your finished DVD will be crisp and clear with colors as vibrant and beautiful as they were in person.

How long will our movie be?

This will vary depending on the length of the event and the package chosen. However, the average run time of our finished movies has been approximately 80 minutes.

How soon can we expect to receive our Movie?

A tremendous amount of effort is involved in creating an exceptional video. It is not uncommon for us to spend 40 hours or more on editing and DVD authoring after the video is shot. Because of this, completion time will vary throughout the year.  We are usually able to ship your movie in less than 3 months.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A 50% down which buys the date.   The remaining balance is due the day of the event.

Can we choose the music for our montages?

Yes. We recommend that the Bride and Groom select the songs that are special to you for use in your montages. You may also consult with us for suggestions.

What Is Cinematic Style?

This is an artistic rendition of your event. By utilizing technology and advanced shooting techniques our cinematic style will add a more movie-like feel to your video. Examples of this style can be seen in our montages.

What Is Documentary Style?

It is the art of capturing history as it happens, purely and with out interference. Examples of this style can be seen in our ceremony and reception coverage.

What is a Montage?

Our montages are highly edited segments of video which are set to music.  What we do is scanner each photo in at print quality.  Then we fix and color correct each photo.  We remove things from the back ground that might distract from the main interest in the photo.
